Dermalogica Love

Before I had children, I prided myself on how I took care of my skin. My night time regimen would drive my husband nuts because I had so many face washes and masks and lotions and cleanses etc. Mornings would be the same, and I remember thinking how it would all be worth it when I got older and didn’t have shadows under my eyes or wrinkles. Oh how naïve I was, mother nature got a good laugh from me, I’m sure. Two babies later, countless sleepless nights, colds I have caught from my kiddos, stress, 1am sessions of breastfeeding or taking temperatures or rocking to sleep. And then one day I woke up and realized that I barely have time to put lotion on my face, let alone go through my old regimen or research what is best for my skin now.

I came across Dermalogica recently and just have to share with you all how much I am in LOVE with their amazing skin care products. With Dermalogica, you will find a collection of professional-strength skin solutions, selected by doctors and beauty experts. Their goal is to help you radiate confidence and feel beautiful. When I was contacted by Dermalogica, I was asked what my skin concerns are. I let them know that I would love to try out products that would help with skin aging. I was just blown away by what I received from them. First, I was sent an Age Smart Daily Superfoliant that contains a resurfacing anti-pollution formula. I was sent a sheet that explained the air pollutants in the city that I live in, and what that meant for my skin. I must say, I was so intrigued to read more about how their formula activates upon contact with water and releases powerful enzymes and skin-smoothing alpha hydroxy acids that deep cleanse our pores to help remove pollutants trapped in skin. As a busy mom of two small children, I must say that I this was exactly what I was looking for. Something that would take the confusion out of what skin care products to buy for me!

I was also sent a box that just knocked my socks off with how detailed and thorough their products really are. I was overjoyed to test out their precleanse, multivitamin power serum, charcoal rescue mask (which my 3 year old thought was just the best thing ever and wanted to have some on her own face), skin smoothing cream, multivitamin thermafoliant, daily microfoliant, antioxidant hydramist, super rich repair, and their skin resurfacing cleanser. I will tell you all, my skin has never felt healthier. My husband told me I was glowing, and then immediately went out and got a pregnancy test (the only time I have had my skin “glow” was during both of my pregnancies (it was negative, we are so sleep deprived that is the last thing on our minds). And speaking of sleep deprivation, I feel like the dark circles under my eyes are not as noticeable, I feel like my wrinkles have faded, and my face feels as soft as my baby’s skin! So I am now SUCH a fan of Dermalogica, I cannot begin to tell you how I have found my new skin savers. Check them out, take their survey on what type of skin concerns you would like taken care of, and scroll through their website: here.

About Me
Nicole Benedum has been a stay at home mom for the past 3 years. Before she took on this glorious (and sometimes not so glorious) role of "All Things Motherhood", she was a Human Resources Generalist. Her days were spent dealing with legal compliance, benefits, leave of absences and everything Human Resources related. Now her days are spent breastfeeding, changing diapers, conquering potty training, tantrums and sleepless nights. She has two kiddos; a 2 year old toddler named Emily, and a baby boy named Owen. She met her husband, Sam, in college when they were both on the swim team, and they have been together ever since. She is a huge breastfeeding advocate, gentle/crunchy parent (for the most part) and a former student athlete (water polo and swimming, woot woot!) both in high school and in college. At some point in the future she has dreams of going back to the gym and/or pool. For now she shall continue counting breastfeeding and holding a 35 pound toddler and 15 pound baby as her workouts.
